Get Schooled’s digital evolution for college and career prep

Career Readiness
challenge

Create a college and career readiness program with the potential to scale

Get Schooled is a nonprofit dedicated to helping young people get to college, build careers, and thrive along the way, impacting more than a million students with mentorship and culturally relevant content.

After proving the power of its approach, the team set its sights on scale. They envisioned a subscription-based digital program that school districts and youth-serving organizations could utilize to reach more students with the same level of high-quality support. Called the College & Early Career Readiness Platform, Get Schooled began exploring options for bringing this vision to life, evaluating multiple online learning platforms, and even considering building their own bespoke platform from scratch.

solution

Develop a unified hub for engaging student learning experiences

Get Schooled partnered with Honor to transform its rich library of content into a scalable, engaging platform. With videos on YouTube, resources on its website, and materials stored in Google Drive, the team needed a way to unify it all into cohesive courses without too heavy of a lift. Honor made it simple to adapt and combine existing assets into interactive learning experiences that felt seamless and professional.

Because Get Schooled serves students balancing school, work, and career aspirations, mobile-first access was essential. Honor’s intuitive, on-the-go design fit naturally into learners’ busy lives, making it easier to stay engaged. Just as importantly, the social learning tools brought students and mentors together, turning a digital platform into a true community – a crucial aspect of Get Schooled’s mission to connect and inspire young people.
